Secure Energy, Inc., is a St. Louis, Missouri-based development company focused on coal conversion technologies. Secure Energy is developing coal-to-natural-gas plants nationwide, at sites that provide inherent economic advantages for both plant construction and plant operation.

Secure Energy's first project is a coal-to-natural-gas plant located in Decatur, Illinois on a site previously owned by Caterpillar, Inc. The Decatur site includes an idle coal boiler facility that contains infrastructure which will be re-used in the coal-to-natural gas plant.
